Two Years as Kanya's UK Representative

Celebrating two years of Kanya..
The firm is celebrating the two-year anniversary of distributing the Kanya range in the UK by welcoming Kanya’s International Business Co-ordinator Andreas Kuster from the headquarters in Ruti, Switzerland to its manufacturing unit in Romsey, Hampshire.Thinking Space Systems designs bespoke solutions using Kanya for a range of clients, where applications include safety guards, machine frames, test rigs, lab cars, trolleys, clean rooms, partitions and conveyor frames. Andreas Kuster said, “It is fantastic to visit the Thinking Space team and to see how much they have achieved in just two years.
“Not only are profits and sales up, but the profile of the Kanya brand is stronger than ever in the UK. We are delighted with what Thinking Space has accomplished and say ‘well done’ to the team,” added Andreas.
Large KANYA Machine Frame
November saw the production and assembly of another large machine frame for the KANYA team. The four-part frame measuring 4m wide and 2.5m tall a roll.
Working closely with local company Rotary Logic Machinery, Thinking Space produced designs for Rotary Logic before manufacturing and assembling the framework, which also includes linear slides and plates on roller bearings.
Rotary Logic produce many machines using this concept, to include an unwind and rewind frame mounting the rolls to be printed on, with frames between to mount the mechanical workings and printing equipment. These machines have many other applications such as to print number plate backings.“It’s great to leave the design work up to someone else and have Thinking Space assemble the frames for me when there are tight deadlines to achieve so I can get on with manufacturing the other essential items for the machine” says Paul Taylor, MD of Rotary Logic Machinery.“The KANYA range is a great and flexible solution with the advantage of being able to add extra bits where needed at a later date.” He added.

Drawings

Thinking Space have invested in new technology with a view to improving their production and presentation drawings.
Two seats of Autodesk Inventor have been purchased along with updated hardware. Our drawing office staff have completed the first stage of training with advanced training to be undertaken before the end of the month. This change will mean that each item in every Thinking Space assembly (both furniture and framework) will be fully modelled and archived for reference, hence making future modifications much more efficient. The change in software also means that for our Kanya customers we can export the models in a format which they are able to use to add their own components. We will now be also able to offer three dimensional photo realistic images of our furniture as part of our quotation/presentation process. There will also be a facility for prospective clients to receive an electronic copy of the rendered image which can be rotated for viewing at any angle (free download necessary).
